Does Having a Pool Help Your Home Sell?

September 20, 2022

It’s been a hot summer in Las Vegas, making a swimming pool one of the best amenities you can have. But when it comes to selling luxury homes, does having a pool make a difference? To answer that question, let’s look at some of the sales data from 2021:

• Last year, nearly 80% of the homes that sold for $1,000,000+ had a pool.

• This number jumps to over 91% for homes priced between $2,000,000 and $2,999,999.

• A staggering 97% of homes in the $3,000,000 to $3,999,999 range had a pool.

• Finally, 95% of homes that sold for $4,000,000+ had a pool.

In this heat, there’s no question that a pool can add value to your home. Sure, there are plenty of buyers who don’t want to deal with pool maintenance (and even those who can’t swim), but if your home is priced at $1,000,000 or above, just know that many buyers expect there to be a swimming pool.
